End of a streak for Alabama
This loss ends a 19 game win streak for the Crimson Tide. That was the longest active winning streak in Division 1 FBS. This loss also makes Jimbo Fisher the first Alabama assistant to ever beat Nick Saban.
Saban made some comments about his disappointment in the loss after the game.
This Alabama loss opens the door for Georgia and Iowa who have been knocking. Both teams are undefeated and were far behind Alabama in terms of first-place votes. Everything is completely wide open now. This will have a serious impact on the college football playoffs down the road.
Next week Alabama looks to bounce back against Mississippi State while Texas A&M looks to improve on their 4-2 record with their momentum from the upset.
