The Cleveland Browns got a much-needed win against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night football. The Browns handled their AFC North rival early on. The game ended up being a blow out with the Browns easily winning 32-13.
Joe Burrow struggled to get the offense going with star receiver Jamar Chase sidelined due to injury. With garbage time included, Burrow ended up with 232 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. The interception came early on and set the tone for the Browns. The pass was tipped by Myles Garrett and picked off by A.J. Green.
Who stood out for the Cleveland Browns?
The Browns were led by a monster performance from wide receiver Amari Cooper. He ended the night with 5 catches, 131 yards, and a touchdown from temporary quarterback Jacoby Brisset who is filling in for a suspended Deshaun Watson. Cooper has been a great addition to the Browns. They acquired him through a trade with the Dallas Cowboys for only a 5th-round draft pick.
The loss puts the Bengals at 4-4 and the Browns just below them at 3-5. Both teams are ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North Standings. Additionally, they both trail the Baltimore Ravens who currently sit at 5-3 on the season. The bad news for them is that the Ravens just improved today after trading for Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith.
