It is very hard to determine who will win their NFC division at this point in time. Last year the NFC boasted stacked teams despite losing the Super Bowl. In addition to multiple stacked teams, there are teams that underperform every year. Last season the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams were those teams.
While there are a handful of solid teams, only one team can take home their NFC division hardware. Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright took a stab at who he thinks is going to win each NFC division. Let’s look at his picks.
NFC Division Winners
NFC East
- Dallas Cowboys
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Washington Redskins
- New York Giants
I have no issues here. It is similar to last season with the Redskins slightly improving with a head coaching change. This also means that the Cowboys won’t choke everything away.
NFC North
- Chicago Bears
- Green Bay Packers
- Minnesota Vikings
- Detroit Lions
This one is the Biggest surprise. Wright picked the Bears to jump over the Packers and Vikings. I understand his reasoning somewhat. He is basing it on the fact that th Bears were very good during the 2018 NFL season and will get back to that.
NFC South
- New Orleans Saints
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Atlanta Falcons
- Carolina Panthers
This is an interesting division for obvious reasons. Tom Brady joining the Buccaneers makes them an instant contender. With that being said, the NFC North runs through the Saints.
NFC West
- Seattle Seahawks
- San Fransisco 49ers
- Arizona Cardinals
- Los Angeles Rams
The NFC West is difficult to project despite holding the Super Bowl runner up . I’m surprised Wright didn’t double down on his Chicago Bears logic. Just like the Bears, the Rams were very good during the 2018 season. In fact, they were even better than the Bears as the made it to the Super Bowl.
In addition to that, the 49ers will be tough to surpass and I don’t disagree with the Seahawks being a team that could make that happen.
