The Milwaukee Bucks have responded after going down 0-2 to the Phoenix Suns early in the NBA Finals. They have now won the last two games and the series is now tied 2-2.
The Suns fell short despite a 42 point performance from Devin Booker. Unfortunately for the Suns, point guard Chris Paul had a quiet night with 10 points and 7 assists. They need much better form Paul to close out the finals series in order to win their first NBA Championship ever.
The Bucks had excellent production from their top two players. Kris Middleton led the way with 40 points. That was followed up with 26 from two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. He also brought in 14 rebounds and 8 assists falling just short of a triple-double performance.
One of the biggest plays of the game was by Antetokounmpo. He blocked an alley-oop dunk attempt Devin Booker lobbed to rising star DeAndre Ayton. He could have been posterized by Ayton on this play. Instead, he stepped up to the plate and made the momentum-crushing play.
Had he not made this defensive play the game would have been tied. Players often shy away from these types of black attempts due to the chance of being dunked on. This may be bad news for the Suns because Giannis may have just shown that he is willing to go all-in to win his first NBA Championship.
Game 5 is set for tip-off on July 17th at 8 PM CST at Phoenix Suns Arena, Phoenix Arizona. The game will be broadcasted nationally on ABC.
